Consultancy

AI content and editorial consultancy, and communication training, for organisations that want to sound like themselves.

Every organisation can produce unlimited content now but almost none of it survives the scrutiny of a reader. The words are grammatical, the tone is agreeable and nothing sounds like it’s come from the people who supposedly wrote it. It lacks the human dimension, the editorial judgement. That’s what I bring.

Editorial consultancy for the AI age

I spent my career in newsrooms where every word passed an editor before it reached the public, and I now build that discipline into how organisations use AI. In practice that means developing tone-of-voice frameworks your tools can follow and your people can defend, building structured prompt and skill systems so that output starts closer to what you want, producing AI-assisted content that meets professional editorial standards and advising on the judgement calls on where machine output ends and human intervention begins. The result is content that carries your voice, stands up to scrutiny and conveys credibility without compromising speed.

Communication training

Before AI needed an editor, executives needed one. I’ve trained spokespeople, leaders and teams for decades, including work with Citibank, Deutsche Bank and London Business School through Templar Advisors, 10 years on the Council of Europe’s Democratic Leadership Programme, and media seminars for NGOs across Europe. My training covers presenting, interviews, being heard in a room and landing the difficult message clearly. It draws on years spent on both sides of the camera and microphone.

How it works

Every engagement starts with a conversation about what you’re producing, who it’s for and where it’s falling short. Some clients need a framework built once and handed over. Some need an available on a continuing basis. Some need their people to be trained and then left alone. I’ll tell you which option you need, even if it’s less than you expected.
